چکیده

The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the outcomes short dental implants (≤7 mm) versus vertical bone augmentation followed by regular (>7 in deficient posterior mandible. In total, eight RCTs (six using interpositional sandwich grafting two guided regeneration technique) were reported 17 articles at different time points. group, relative risk (RR) for implant loss 1 year favour (RR 0.41, P = 0.02), while no significant difference found 3 years 0.65, 0.43), 5 1.08, 0.86), or 8 1.53, 0.52). complications 0.34, 0.0002), as mean marginal resorption after (−0.09 mm, 0.17), (−0.32 < 0.00001), (−0.65 (−0.88, 0.00001). residual osseointegration length between 2.94 mm 4.44 group 7.97 8.62 years. conclusion, atrophic mandible, demonstrate comparable within first Patients who are fit surgery should be informed about risks benefits both options.
